Qualifications

• Proven ability to explain complex architectures and present to customers.

We are currently recruiting a German-Speaking Customer Engineer for an international technology project in Barcelona, Spain. You'll combine technical expertise with consultative sales skills, helping partners and sales teams evaluate cloud solutions and design scalable architectures that deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with partners and sales teams to define technical requirements and identify barriers to cloud adoption


• Recommend scalable future-state architectures aligned with customer needs


• Build prototypes, demos and integration examples to support solution evaluations


• Act as the key technical resource, handling technical questions, objections and blockers throughout the sales cycle


• Advise on integration strategy, enterprise architecture and application infrastructure


• Deliver technical briefings, whiteboard sessions and product presentations


• Maintain accurate opportunity records in Salesforce and document sales-stage deliverables


• Complete required product training and certifications on schedule

Requirements

• Fluent German


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience


• 5+ years in technical sales engineering in cloud computing, or a comparable customer-facing role in professional services or systems engineering


• Experience with Big Data, PaaS and IaaS, plus hands‑on database experience


• Knowledge of data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, Spark SQL or BigQuery


• Working knowledge of Linux, web technologies and protocols (HTTP, authentication, XML, HTML)


• Understanding of enterprise networking (DNS, TCP, firewalls, proxies, DMZs)


• Web development and integration experience (REST, SOAP, Python, JavaScript, PHP or similar)


• Strong communication and presentation skills; proactive and able to work independently
