About the NFF: The National Forest Foundation was chartered by Congress in 1993 and is the official national partner of the US Forest Service (USFS). The Foundation leads with impact through three pillars of work: wildfire risk reduction, reforestation, and recreation for all. NFF works closely with communities and organizations across the nation to help advance the Foundation’s mission to restore, enhance and connect all Americans to National Forests and Grasslands.
The Foundation has grown significantly in the last few years in impact, revenue, and organizational capacity. Moreover, as a leader in forest conservation, the Foundation deploys 90% of its expenses towards projects and programs across the country’s 193-million-acre National Forest System. Position Function: The Director of People & Culture will report to the Chief People Officer and is responsible for leading the recruitment, learning and development, and day-to-day human resource activities to build a highly engaged, inclusive, and authentic organizational culture to support the initiatives of becoming a leader in the workforce of the future. Within the framework of NFF’s recent growth, the Director will help build the workforce of the future by supporting capacity building initiatives as well as talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts. The Director will elevate the Foundation as an employer of choice by utilizing technology and innovation to guide decision-making.

Location: The location for this position is flexible throughout the lower 48 states. This position is a remote/work-from-home position and requires reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
Compensation: The NFF offers competitive compensation and benefits. The starting salary range for this position is $87,500 to $90,200 with the ability to grow to $111,600 and above.
