THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Senior Informatica Data Engineer in the Data and Process Engineering department, you are part of the central Zalando Technology Foundation (ZTF), which supports a variety of Zalando business areas. You contribute to building and maintaining the pipelines and datasets that enable data-driven decision making and operations within Zalando. You will have the chance to shape the future of data management here at Zalando. You will collect, analyse, profile, and understand data and data structures in current and future systems together with other Data Engineers from different functional areas. WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

1. Manage and evolve MDM solutions and drive future upgrades.
2. Own and shape the future of Informatica tooling in collaboration with the team, Principal Engineers, and Senior Leadership.
3. Drive changes to the data models and steer the adoption of master data across business units.
4. Align with a broad range of stakeholders from partner-facing business units, implement business rules, propagate data standardization, and enable data enrichment and consolidation (match & merge).
5. Collaborate with ambitious Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Analysts across Zalando to create positive customer impact together.
6. Define our team's objective, and continuously improve the self-organization of the team.
7. Act as a mentor to the team members and help grow junior and mid-level members of the team.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

1. You have 5+ years of experience in implementing and configuring master data management solutions.
2. You are proficient in Informatica MDM Hub, Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), and related Informatica tools and technologies.
3. You have at least 1 year of experience in Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
4. Experience in SQL and database management systems.
5. You have a strong understanding of data modelling principles, data integration concepts, and master data management best practices.
6. Hands-on experience with data profiling, cleansing, and transformations.
7. Experience with data governance frameworks, data stewardship workflows, and data quality metrics.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Experience in Java or Python is considered an advantage.
