To strengthen our own operations and better serve our founders, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Berlin office.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys end-to-end recruiting and is happy to take on coordination responsibilities when needed. Working closely with our Executive Director of Talent, you will play a key role in helping our portfolio companies build the best teams across Europe while ensuring a seamless candidate experience.

What you’ll do
  • Drive full-cycle recruitment for roles at Cherry and across our portfolio – from sourcing and outreach to interviews, offers, and closing.
  • Source top talent proactively through LinkedIn, networks, and market research, with a focus on senior and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Support portfolio founders in building high-performing teams by driving sourcing and recruiting efforts for critical hires.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to boost sourcing efficiency, candidate engagement, and pipeline management.
  • Manage coordination tasks such as scheduling, candidate communication, and process tracking to ensure a seamless experience for candidates and hiring teams.
  • Contribute to talent projects such as building sourcing playbooks, improving candidate experience, and leveraging data to refine our approach.
What we’re looking for
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition (agency, in-house, or startup background welcome).
  • Proven ability to run searches end-to-end while also rolling up your sleeves on coordination tasks.
  • Strong LinkedIn and sourcing skills; comfortable with direct outreach and talent mapping.
  • Mastery of AI recruitment tools is a must - you know how to harness them to supercharge sourcing and hiring outcomes.
  • High proficiency in Greenhouse ATS (or equivalent systems) - you can manage pipelines and processes with ease.
  • Experience hiring for startups or VC-backed companies - you understand the pace, ambiguity, and profile of talent these environments demand.
  • Very technical role expertise highly appreciated - you can confidently approach and engage engineering, product, and data candidates.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills; you’re structured and detail-oriented.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trust with candidates and colleagues.
  • International outlook and comfort working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
