A leading cloud services provider in Berlin is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to support the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud. The role includes overseeing operations, enhancing system performance, and educating teams on cloud services. Candidates should have expertise in systems engineering and scripting, along with a solid understanding of Linux and networking. Join our dynamic team to ensure high-availability services for EU customers and contribute to innovative cloud solutions.
AWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), marking a significant development in utility computing (UC). We are seeking experienced systems engineers with a strong background in automation and operations to lead operations and development teams delivering high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock) exclusively for EU customers as part of the AWS Managed Operations team.
Your responsibilities include overseeing the ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams, and contributing to the evolution of AWS services and technology. A typical day involves working with technology leaders, enhancing day-to-day operations, and improving availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC. You may occasionally participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside standard hours.
The overarching goal is to deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers. We invite experienced professionals to join us in building a best-in-class development engineering and operations team aligned with AWS’ commitment to customer satisfaction and continual innovation.
