About the Position:Parts Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
The ideal candidate for the Parts Supply Chain, Warehouse & Logistics Manager position embodies GM’s Behaviors and is passionate to drive the Supply Chain, Warehousing and Logistics Performance of GM’s Non-vehicle Products operations in Europe.
This role will manage the supply and flow of GM Parts, Accessories and Merchandise in Europe by devising the strategy, and implementing the operational excellence and the continuous improvement initiatives, in a data-driven way.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics and Warehouse Supplier Management: Ensure Contracted partners are aligned with the business requirements; monitor performance KPIs and engage them on corrective actions as needed, pursue continuous improvements driven by issues that negatively impact key metrics. Review processes periodically with cross-functional teams to ensure optimization of resources and deliver high level of customer satisfaction.
- Supplier Performance Tracking: Managed KPIs to ensure that Service Levels are maintained, and critical areas of work are monitored to achieve the results for customers, wherever applicable enforce penalty clauses if failure to comply
- Invoicing Monitoring: Review invoices periodically to ensure compliance with the contract; other exceptions to be managed.
- Purchase Order Management: Expedite and follow-up Purchase Orders to ensure on-time delivery and tracking on suppliers’ order response time and quality performance.
- Forecasting: Create Quarterly and Monthly Demand Forecast at the part level to inform order and stocking management
- Parts readiness for new car launches in Europe. Plan the initial stock order and stocking policies for the critical part list associated with the new launch
- First Order Fill & Back Order Management: review of First Order Fill and Back Order Lines including Aged Back Order lines & VIP Back Order Lines for necessary action; Daily review of escalation Cases for prompt action, and continuous communication of resolutions: Monthly analysis of the FOF score, trend and corrective action plans
- Inventory Management: Daily analysis of demand trend and adjusting of planning parameters; Weekly review of Inventory movement status, Open Purchase Orders level; establish Monthly ROP (Re-Order Point) review and update.
- Stock Management and Planning: Monitor stock movement in systems and plan delivery of materials, either via Sea or Air, ensuring no stock out situations. Track the entire material pipeline and total lead time taken from date of purchase order placement until arrival of material
- Obsolescence & Excess management: Quarterly review of O&E on conjunction with Finance; propose Promotional offers through program management team and Finalize parts list and initiate approval process for physical scrapping.
- Physical Inventory Management: Lead Aftersales’ compliance with physical inventory monitoring and management, including physical audits.
Required Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting
- Bachelor's degree required
- Understanding of multiple Demand Forecasting, Supply Chain Metrics and Continuous Improvement Techniques
- Proven track-record to deliver multi-million EUR Operational Efficiency improvements
- Strong attention to detail and presentation skills
- An ability to lead cross-function initiatives and perform in a dynamic and ambiguous environment

- Ability to think strategically and wholistically, to determine high level Strategies and to execute them operationally
- Timely decision making
- Business travel required Quarterly
- Strong computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Fluent in English; French and German are strong preferences
Preferred Skills
- Prior SAP knowledge is preferrable
- Preferred post-graduate degree in business administration (MBA), or business equivalent discipline
