In this role you will actively drive the VM direction for the Division, taking ownership of the in-store journey and commercial presentation of all Men Collections & Destination Areas. You will be responsible for creating and communicating the seasonal journey and VM guidelines through managing a team of specialists as well as partnering cross-functionally throughout the business. This role brings together the areas of VM, Product & Marketing and Sales & Operations to ensure the most visual, commercial and effective implementation of our Men Collections in stores.
Your responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Drive the Men VM strategy and in-store journey, manage concepts to reflect the range architecture principles and framework of visual selling with commercial impact.
- Deliver and execute a seasonal VM work stream calendar in line with the business cadence.
- Collaborate with & coordinate the matrix functions to align the VM strategy with overall business objectives.
- Identify seasonal market trends, competitor analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
Visual Commercial Excellence
- Drive sales growth & conversion with a solid commercial VM mindset:
- Present a balance of newness, outfitting, category dominance and add-on moments
- Ensure we convey affordability & value, modernity & style
- Accountable for all VM direction & guidelines including window mannequin outfits, style court and in-store areas.
- Responsible for partnering with Product Head of & Lead roles and their teams to visually build up the collections and delivering final in-store merchandise presentation.
- Create and deliver consistent, commercial VM guidelines for market execution - ‘touch it once’.
- Partner with Unit Lead to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive in-store seasonal journeys (Store Planning, Product) and new visual/fixture concepts (Store Concept, Store Implementation).
- Analyze business & divisional performance, be agile in-season to react & reset VM direction as needed to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and support the specialist team, set clear goals and provide coaching/support where needed and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and motivation to drive individual and team excellence.
- Lead by example, show leadership qualities & promote a customer-centric selling & VM focus.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or an equal-level of study in a related field
- 8+ years of VM experience & leader/manager roles within the (fashion) retail industry
- Proven track record across performance, people & projects
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve targets
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and market insights
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), proficient in business English
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of (fashion) retail trends, market dynamics, customer behaviour, with the ability to work with these factors and apply them to the role
- Flexibility to travel when needed
- Proficient knowledge level of Microsoft and/or InDesign programs
