Senior UX/UI Designer – Design System (gn)

In our headquarters in Düsseldorf, about 1,000 employees daily work to bring economic knowledge into action through print, digital, and live media.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, high‑quality UI components and patterns within our multi‑brand design system.
- Develop UI designs hands‑on, ensuring pixel‑exact implementation through detailed specifications and prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, developers, and product teams to maintain consistency and quality in implementation.Decide when to use, adapt, or extend existing components and bring fresh ideas that strengthen visual design and system thinking.
- Document design decisions, contribute to onboarding, guidelines, and visual standards, supporting sustainable system use.
- Work in an interdisciplinary Scrum team, realizing ideas from concept to execution.
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Interaction Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Media Informatics, or comparable qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in UI/UX design focused on digital products (web or apps).
- Excellent knowledge of Figma, especially maintaining robust UI components with Figma variables.
- Experience building or evolving design systems and working with design tokens.
- Strong precision, typography, layout, and visual consistency sense.
- Technical understanding (HTML, CSS, web components) is a plus but not required.
- Team spirit and enthusiasm for work in an inter‑disciplinary, hybrid environment.
