This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional with a self-starter mindset, taking full ownership of the P&L for their traded commodity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies for steel products, identifying and expanding new markets across suppliers and buyers.
• Structure and negotiate trade contracts to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Manage risk exposure across the full trade cycle, ensuring profitability and financial security.
• Oversee derivative position management, leveraging deep knowledge of steel and related commodity markets.
• Conduct market analysis to drive business growth and enhance trading performance.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a trader in steel: including flat and long steel, billets, slabs, coils, rebar, wire rod, and specialty steel, with strong industry network / a transferable book.
• Proven ability to originate and execute high‑value trades.
• Expertise in risk management and financial exposure mitigation.
• Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of price trends and market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
