• Lead key people, compliance, and governance activities across the employee lifecycle
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees
• Provide expert guidance on employment and employee relations matters
• Oversee HR compliance and audit readiness
• Drive continuous improvement of HR policies and processes
• Lead and coordinate health and safety initiatives
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to maintain safe working environments
• Review, maintain and develop HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR operations and employee experience

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR operations-focused role
• Strong knowledge of German labour law, employment regulations, and HR compliance requirements
• Experience managing payroll processes and working with payroll providers
• Proven experience conducting HR audits and implementing compliance initiatives
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements in Germany
• Experience developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
• Strong understanding of HRIS systems and HR data management
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• HSE certification preferred; candidates without formal qualifications must demonstrate a willingness to complete HSE training
