Jobbeschreibung

• Autonomous leadership of the People Operations function
• Take ownership of our salary band framework once the initial rollout is complete and further develop it
• Promote and embed our new feedback-culture frameworks so they are actually practiced, not just published
• Lead how we use AI in People Operations. The tools are already available — applying them effectively is new territory
• Lead HR-related projects to improve collaboration and internal processes
• Implement strategic decisions
• Develop and maintain official company policies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee-related HR matters
• Own the full recruiting process, including interviews, candidate communication and applicant management in German and English
• Continuously optimize and improve recruiting processes
• Prepare monthly payroll
• Communicate with external institutions such as health insurance providers
• Monitor vacation requests and sick leave notifications
• Own employee onboarding and offboarding
• Maintain employee data in our HRIS (Personio)
• Formalize our ways of working. Some processes are already documented, others are incomplete or outdated — you will turn them into a unified, reliable single source of truth
• Prepare HR-related documents, including employment contracts, certificates and references in German and English

Requirements

• Successfully completed commercial vocational training, a degree in business administration, human resources, or an equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience in HR management and recruiting
• Solid, practical knowledge of German labor law, including contract drafting, terminations and compliance; experience supporting an international workforce
• Strong organizational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach
• High level of self-motivation, ability to work independently, and experience in a remote work environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset and outstanding communication abilities
• Languages: business-fluent German and English (minimum C1). German is required for employment contracts and legal matters; English is the primary working language of our international team
• Strong affinity for IT and a good understanding of software
• Drive to identify opportunities for using AI in People Operations and the initiative to implement them proactively without waiting to be asked
