A leading technology firm in St. Ingbert is seeking a Senior Developer to join their Last Mile Distribution team. You will design and enhance solutions integrated with Transport Management and S/4HANA, involving collaboration with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong ABAP and RAP knowledge, with a proven track record in full-stack development. This role also offers opportunities for continuous learning, mentoring, and being part of a progressive team culture.
We help the world run better. At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We’re builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what’s next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
As a Senior Developer / Development Expert (f/m/d) in our Last Mile Distribution (LMD) team, you’ll be part of an experienced and knowledgeable team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. We’re excited to welcome new colleagues and support them in becoming successful contributors. Your responsibilities will span the full development lifecycle—from refining user stories and designing new functionalities to writing and reviewing code, testing, and supporting our consultants and customers. You’ll work on a solution that is deeply integrated with Transport Management, S/4HANA, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), which presents both technical challenges and rewarding opportunities. The existing project is built using ABAP, RAP, Fiori Elements, and you’ll be enhancing it to meet evolving customer needs. You’ll also collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
The Last Mile Distribution (LMD) team represents the crucial final phase in the delivery journey. Our solution is purpose‑built to empower mid‑ and large‑scaled bottlers and distributors—beverage and food companies—by streamlining scheduling, transportation, delivery, inventory management, and billing operations. We collaborate with The Coca Cola Company and its bottling partners, some of whom are already live with the system, while others are preparing to go live soon. The team is based in Sankt Ingbert and works with product managers, consultants, and architects to deliver new features and maintain reliability.
The Consumer Industries Product & Engineering unit builds, deploys, and operates private and public cloud solutions across SAP’s consumer products, fashion, retail, and wholesale portfolios, with a strong emphasis on security, quality, resiliency, and availability.
We work in a way that’s open, agile, and communicative—built on trust rather than micromanagement. Our culture encourages transparency, ownership, and continuous learning. The LMD initiative is driven by two self‑organised teams working closely with product managers, development managers, consultants, and architects. Together, we deliver new features based on customer requests and ensure the reliability of our solutions through ongoing maintenance and support.
SAP innovations help more than 400,000 customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively. As a cloud company with 200 million users and more than 100,000 employees worldwide, we are purpose‑driven and future‑focused, with a highly collaborative team ethic and commitment to personal development.
Our culture of inclusion, focus on health and well‑being, and flexible working models help ensure that everyone – regardless of background – feels included and can run at their best. We believe we are made stronger by the unique capabilities and qualities that each person brings, and we invest in our employees to inspire confidence and help everyone realize their full potential.
