Job Description

Fixed-term contract for 1 year.

We are seeking a Quality & Food Safety Specialist to join our R&D team. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and consumer satisfaction. You’ll use your deep technical expertise and problem‑solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement, mentor colleagues and help shape the future of food safety within our business.

What We’re Looking For

• Full proficiency in quality and food safety principles gained through relevant education and substantial work experience.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and guiding colleagues or project teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to take a strategic innovative approach to technical challenges.
• Background in food science, microbiology, chemistry or related field preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the production of high‑quality safe products that meet Mars standards, regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.
• Apply a broad perspective to identify innovative and less obvious solutions to quality and food safety challenges.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced team members, sharing best practices and fostering technical excellence.
• Support the discovery and adoption of new techniques and technologies to enhance food safety globally.
• Contribute to the development of food safety standards and collaborate with government and industry stakeholders.
• Respond proactively to emerging challenges in food safety and regulatory environments.
