A leading research institution in Kiel is seeking to fill a Professorship in Theoretical Oceanography. The candidate will conduct research in ocean and atmosphere dynamics, teach in relevant academic programs, and foster interdisciplinary cooperation. Kiel University and GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel jointly invite applications for a Professorship (W 3) in Theoretical Oceanography. The professorship is based at GEOMAR and assigned to the Research Unit “Theory and Modelling” within the Department “Ocean Circulation and Climate Dynamics.”
The position is opened with respect to Art. § 61 and § 63 Section 1 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Schleswig-Holstein. Teaching commitment currently is 4 semester hours per week.
