I am currently assisting one of our key clients to hire a Strategy & Operations Senior Consultant or Manager to be based in Cologne.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will advise corporate and private equity clients on complex strategic and operational challenges. Your scope of work will include:

• Reviewing and shaping strategic initiatives and supporting the execution of M&A-related projects, including carve-outs, post-merger integrations and joint ventures, as well as wider transformation and value creation programmes
• Taking ownership of projects and workstreams, leading teams and actively contributing to the further expansion of the Strategy & Operations practice at European level
• Working closely with colleagues from adjacent advisory areas such as transformation, restructuring, valuation, tax and transaction services, with a strong focus on the strategic and operational elements of transformation engagements
• Engaging directly with senior client decision-makers, supporting business development and marketing activities, and playing an active role in the continued growth of the firm

Your profile

To succeed in this position, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:

• Master’s degree from a leading university or business school, ideally in economics, business administration, engineering, natural sciences or a comparable field
• Around 3–6 years of professional experience in management or transaction advisory, or a similar consulting environment
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: carve-outs, post-merger integration, value creation, performance improvement, commercial or operational due diligence
• Fluency in English and strong German skills
