Job Description

Portfolio Director Renewable Energy and Power

Leap29 are working closely with a reputable renewable energies company to recruit for a portfolio director. The company focuses solely on onshore assets. This includes repowering and optimising wind gas-fired (thermal) solar and hydrogen assets.

Your role

As Portfolio Director you will lead the strategic and operational management of our producing asset portfolio. This role combines technical performance oversight and commercial leadership to maximise asset value.

You’ll work closely with the COO to shape portfolio strategy establish scalable processes and drive commercial excellence including collaboration with our energy trading desk across power and gas markets.

Responsibilities of the role

• To manage the portfolio of financial assets and commercial activities
• To oversee the production of assets for maximum performance and output
• Establish and refine portfolio management frameworks reporting systems and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and commercial standards across all assets
• Act as a strategic partner to the COO contributing to long-term planning and execution
• To establish processes for portfolio management

Ideal candidate

• Has a minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant portfolio / asset management-type roles within the renewables industry
• Has experience with an energy trading desk for power trading including gas trading
• Strategic mindset
• Exceptional leadership / management skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Fluent in English professional working German
