The Institute of Medical Biochemistry, headed by Prof. Tim Lämmermann, is part of the Centre of Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE) and embedded within a vibrant research environment and part of various research networks.
Our research focuses on investigating single cell and population dynamics during innate immune responses. The successful applicant will join an exciting research program in a dynamic and international institute, hosting several research groups (Lämmermann, Rambold, Stegmeyer). Research groups are currently seeking applicants interested in immune cell dynamics (in particular neutrophil extravasation) and organelle dynamics/metabolism in immune cells. Our research activities are integrated in several local research initiatives on inflammation and basic cell biology, e.g. CRC1450, TRR332 and SFB1348.
