Responsibilities
  • Lead German Payroll Operations: Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for Germany as the primary focus.
  • Manage EMEA Payroll: Oversee payroll for multiple countries in the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
  • Global Process Leadership: Drive payroll process improvements and automation initiatives globally, setting standards for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provider Management: Act as the responsible manager for our global payroll provider and collaborate with payroll teams worldwide.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Handle audits, reconciliations, and reporting, proactively addressing discrepancies and ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Global Mobility Expertise: Manage payroll topics for international assignments, including shadow payrolls.
  • Benefits Administration: Support payroll-related benefits activities, including bonuses, share-based compensation, and other employee benefits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR and Finance to optimize payroll operations and ensure seamless integration with compensation and benefits.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strategic Contribution: Bring creative ideas and energy to keep our payroll function ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a senior / leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in German payroll; experience with other EMEA countries is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Advanced Excel skills for handling complex data and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
