Mechanical Site Manager – EU Rotation

A Mechanical Site Manager is required to oversee the delivery of mechanical services on a large-scale construction project in Europe. This role is suited to someone confident managing site activity, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring mechanical installations progress safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications. Strong organisation, a solid technical background and a consistent focus on quality are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mechanical installation activities, ensuring work is delivered safely and on programme.
• Coordinate supervisors and subcontractors, sequencing work fronts efficiently.
• Monitor installation quality and progress against drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Assist with commissioning activities and resolve technical or installation issues as they arise.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and client representatives, providing clear progress updates.
• Oversee inspections, testing, snag closure and all associated site documentation.
• Manage materials, deliveries, plant and site logistics to support smooth project execution.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising mechanical installations on large construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems including HVAC, CHW, pipework and general mechanical services.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and lead teams in a fast-paced site environment.
• Ability to interpret drawings, installation details and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction quality standards.
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Solid understanding of construction health and safety processes.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or similar.
• Valid safety training certifications (e.g., Safe Pass / CSCS or local equivalent).
• Further supervisory or management training beneficial.
