Position Overview/Duties

This is a non-supervisory position supporting the District's vital mission.

Position Description
This position prepares mechanical systems designs, and reviews contract plans, specifications, energy studies, and related support for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, energy conservation, and other mechanical systems and programs for military facilities, such as administrative/office buildings, barracks/dormitories, training facilities, aviation/aircraft facilities, industrial maintenance shops, research laboratories, communication facilities, warehouses, power plants, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing similar energy studies or mechanical construction documents prepared by architect-engineers under contract.
  • Directing the efforts of lower-grade engineers and technicians.
  • Using computer-based design tools (i.e., CADD).
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a SECRET security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
Overseas Position
  • Overseas positions may have a tour limitation.
  • You may be required to complete and sign DD Form 2365.
