A leading research institute in Aachen seeks a physics student for a thesis opportunity in laser powder bed fusion. You'll work on innovative laser processing of materials, conducting experiments and analyzing data. In cooperation with the Chair for Laser Technology at RWTH LLT, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT offers the opportunity to write a thesis in the ‘Laser Powder Bed Fusion’ department on surface technology and shape ablation.
Modern laser processes such as selective laser-induced etching (SLE) are used to produce high-precision glass components for the semiconductor industry, medical technology or quantum technology with detailed dimensions.
