A leading automotive technology company in Wuppertal seeks a manufacturing engineering professional to manage the industrialization of products from the award phase to series production. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, minimum 5 years in the automotive sector, and strong project management skills. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring all requirements are met while promoting safety and efficiency. Lead / manage industrialization of our products from award phase up to series production
Support kick-off meetings and MSD workshops with / in the PML, create / adapt process flow
Enforce proper requirements management and align with APTIV DQE accordingly, plan requirements transfer to PML
Align industrialization deliverables with DQE, being customer interface for technical discussion
Develop the production line concept with optimized material flow, estimated cycle times, and traceability concept
Ensure supplier packaging requirements adheres with manufacturing and production requirements
Attend the regular PDT meetings and drive a proper escalation in case of problems
Create and maintain the MFGE project schedule with regard to the project milestones
Prepare and organize the milestone build dates with PRS from PML, starting with early prototype builds and organization of needed prototype equipment, including documentation, include and advise the process engineers where needed
Attend key (prototype) build events for new product layouts / design and all customer attended events
Drive and track P-FMEA, respecting Functional Safety aspects with related documentation
Plan needed equipment / technology, manage SOW and equipment procurement
Track needed equipment and tooling, ensure availability of needed material for all equipment / tool development, install equipment / design reviews before approving start of fabrication / development Perform equipment buy-off at suppliers and request PML process engineers to attend and approve as needed, drive capability studies, create list of key parameters to be transferred to quality plan
Plan product and process / equipment training and handover to PML, starting after PV readiness
Participate in escalation meetings on program management level with prepared reports and options for resolution
Bachelor’s degree with technical background or similar technical education
Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive industry, preferred in manufacturing engineering
Excellent project management skills
Strong problem solving capability
Ability to work and live in a global network environment
Outstanding knowledge of lean concepts
Outstanding organization and team building skills
Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive working style
Fluent in English (spoken and written). German language skills are a plus.
