We are looking for Key Account Manager- ESS (Europe) (all genders) for our team!

Responsibilities
  • Acquire new customers for A123's energy storage solutions
  • Identify opportunities and develop account management plans
  • Execute account plans to penetrate target customers and solutions
  • Drive all customer commercial activities, including proposal preparation, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers and align the A123 team with the appropriate level of contact at the customer site
  • Communicate customer requirements to the product development team to support future product planning
  • Monitor competitive environment
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Education & Experience
  • Significant sales/key account management experience in B2B sales
  • Experience and a strong professional network in the European energy storage market are a must
  • Experience in the photovoltaic market preferred
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Confidence in making cold calls to potential customers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fundamental understanding of the core technology and its benefits, and identification of its unique selling points
  • Deep understanding of the PV/ESS market and its key distributors
  • Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into a successful business proposal
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Must be a creative thinker who takes full accountability
  • Must be a team player who thrives in a startup culture with minimal or evolving policies and procedures and is confident in sharing opinions with all levels of management
  • Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Very good knowledge of German and English. A third language is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office
