A renowned research institute in Trier is seeking a Junior Professor in Psychological Metascience for a tenure-track position. The Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) in Trier (Germany) is an internationally renowned research support organization in psychology and a member of the prestigious Leibniz Association. As part of an effort to strengthen its research capacity, ZPID will newly establish the following position in close cooperation with the Trier University:
The professorship will be filled in a joint appointment procedure between ZPID and the Trier University, based on § 50 Abs. 11 HochSchG. The successful candidate will be employed by ZPID and can receive membership rights as a junior professor at Trier University (§ 37 Abs. 2 Nr. 1 HochSchG). No civil service or employment relationship will be established with Trier University.
Preferred start date is July 1, 2026.
According to § 54 of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act (HochSchG), successful candidates need to hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field and be qualified for teaching in psychology (e.g., proven by positive teaching evaluations or didactical training).
