Job summary

adidas is offering a Corporate Communications internship in Herzogenaurach. You will explore both internal and external communication, supporting campaigns, media activities and employee engagement across Brand, HR and Tech.

The role requires studying communications-related fields, strong German and English, and a hands-on, proactive attitude. The internship runs March 2027 to September 2027 with flexible work arrangements and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's student in Communications, Multimedia, Journalism or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken German and English.

• Full-time student for the complete duration of internship, or in the gap year between degrees.

• Willing to relocate to Herzogenaurach for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Create employee communication campaigns and engagement initiatives across Brand, HR, and Tech.
• Support employee moments at HQ around key events, sporting moments and athlete visits.
• Assist with copywriting assignments and basic image editing.
• Support adidas press office with media relations activities and events (e.g., annual press conference).
• Monitor and report on relevant media coverage of key company topics.
• Help manage media inquiries and requests for interviews and business information.
• Conduct research and prepare background information, presentations and communication materials.
• Partner with colleagues across functions to bring communication strategies to life.

About the Role

Corporate Communications helps adidas create distinctive and engaging relationships with its stakeholders, build a strong and trusted corporate brand, and strengthen the reputation of the company behind the three stripes. The team brings stories to life for both internal and external audiences, from helping employees feel connected to strategy and priorities to supporting media relations and protecting the company's reputation. This internship offers the opportunity to experience both sides of Corporate Communications, gaining an inside look at how a globally recognised brand communicates with employees, media and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Internal Communications by creating employee communication campaigns and engagement initiatives across different functions and topics such as Brand, HR and Tech


• Support employee moments at headquarters around key events, sporting moments and athlete visits


• Assist with copywriting assignments and basic image editing


• Support the adidas press office with media relations activities, including messaging, briefings, media lists, media visits and events such as the annual press conference and annual general meeting


• Monitor and report on relevant media coverage of key company topics and moments


• Help manage media inquiries and requests for interviews and business information


• Conduct research and prepare background information, presentations and communication materials for selected topics


• Partner with colleagues across different functions to help bring communication strategies to life

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's student in Communications, Multimedia, Journalism or a related field


• Passion for communication and for working in a fast-paced industry


• Fluent in German (native speaker level) and English, written and spoken


• Good writing, organisational and event planning skills


• Reliable team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude


• High level of motivation and willingness to learn


• High affinity for the brand, products and partners


• Enrolled as a full-time student for the complete duration of the internship, or in the gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree (gap year regulation applies only to EU citizens due to working permit regulations)


• Available for the full duration of the internship from March 2027 to September 2027


• Ability to relocate to Herzogenaurach, Germany, for the full duration of the internship

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft skills, especially PowerPoint, SharePoint, Viva Engage and Teams


• Previous experience in communications, public relations, journalism, media or content creation


• Students with ideally no more than one year to graduation

Workplace

• Flexible and agile working arrangements, with up to 40% home office possible

Salary

• Monthly gross allowance for a non-compulsory internship: €2,470.00


• Monthly gross allowance for a compulsory internship: €1,930.00 (the difference is due to different taxation; net pay is the same)
