TEAMS Stuttgart is looking for a highly motivated Industrial Design Manager to join our team full-time in Stuttgart-Esslingen starting in April 2025.

You will work with a creative, passionate group of experts in areas such as strategic design, UX design and product design.

You

As an Industrial Design Manager, you are the central figure between creativity, technology and business. You will use your experience of working on sophisticated, technical products to not only develop excellent design solutions, but also to strategically plan and successfully implement them. You will bear responsibility on many levels:

Your tasks in detail:

• Idea generator & creative partner: You inspire our team and our customers in equal measure. You develop creative design concepts independently, lead internal and external creativity workshops and actively contribute to the generation of ideas yourself.
  
• Technical expert: You have an in-depth understanding of modern production technologies such as injection moulding, additive manufacturing, metal processing or hybrid processes. Complex technical requirements are an exciting challenge for you, which you master with design expertise and an engineering mindset.
  
• Project manager & account manager: You plan, calculate and manage demanding projects - from the first pitch to successful realisation. You present confidently to customers, communicate clearly and convincingly and manage to inspire our partners with ideas and solutions.
  
• Leadership personality: You lead and motivate our Industrial Design team, promote talent and create an inspiring, productive working atmosphere. You live an open, team-oriented culture characterised by cooperation and mutual respect.

TEAMS is a global design studio with several locations that specialises in product-oriented brand development in the areas of strategic innovation, user experience design, industrial design and brand communication.

The Stuttgart Studio is located near Stuttgart in Esslingen. The studio itself is located in a beautiful loft with a marvellous view of the city and the surrounding vineyards. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a Industrial Design Manager who can make a significant contribution to our design quality and project realisation with their experience, creative flair and technical expertise

Requirements

You are an experienced designer and/or manager with an eye for detail, a passion for technical products and a strong flair for innovative design. To be successful in this role, in addition to your passion for industrial design, you will also have the following skills and qualifications:

• A degree in industrial design, product design or a comparable specialism
  
• Several years of professional experience in the design of complex, technical products - from conception to realisation
  
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, CNC machining, sheet metal forming or additive manufacturing
  
• Strong creative skills paired with an analytical, technically orientated understanding
  
• Experience in project planning, costing and managing design projects - ideally with customer contact and budget responsibility
  
• Strong communication skills in German and English, both as part of a team and when working with customers and partners
  
• A confident manner with which you can both inspire your team and delight customers
  
• Experience in the preparation and implementation of creative workshops and the ability to actively participate in such processes as an idea developer
  
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a high level of customer orientation
