A global environmental organization is seeking a Researcher for its Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program. This position focuses on supporting Latin American governments in decarbonizing the heavy-duty sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical analysis, project management, and strong communication skills in English and Spanish. The role entails managing stakeholder outreach and conducting research to inform vehicle efficiency standards.
The ICCT is looking for an enthusiastic Researcher to join the organization’s Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program team. This position will contribute to ICCT’s efforts to support Chile and other Latin American governments committed to decarbonizing the heavy-duty (trucks and buses) segment, with a focus on supply-side regulations such as fuel-efficiency standards and zero-emission vehicle sales requirements. You will provide technical and policy support to government agencies developing vehicle efficiency standards and manage engagement with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of the transportation sector and environmental/energy topics, modeling and analytical skills, project management experience, written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish, strong written
and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in solving our most pressing global health and environmental challenges. This opportunity is best suited to someone who is self-motivated, resourceful, creative, curious, and willing to work hard and learn fast.
This position will be based in Chile and report to ICCT’s Heavy-Duty Program Director in Latin America.
