Job summary

Frequentis Comsoft GmbH in Karlsruhe invites applicants for a senior leadership role as Head of R&D Data Solutions. You will steer international, cross-functional teams and own regulatory compliance initiatives including EASA and the Cyber Resilience Act, shaping product roadmaps and delivery.

You bring 10+ years in software/R&D, 5+ years in leadership, and a proven track record managing multi-site teams. Excellent English communication is essential; German language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software development, system development, or R&D environments.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a senior management role overseeing multiple teams.
• Experience leading international, cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and agile frameworks.
• Experience with product development lifecycles, roadmaps, releases, and resource planning.
• Knowledge of regulatory/compliance frameworks, including EASA requirements and CRA.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to align diverse interests.

• Foster a culture of quality, safety, security, regulatory compliance, and engineering excellence.
• Challenge existing processes and drive innovation to enhance products, capabilities, and organizational performance

Profil

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in software development, system development, or R&D environments.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a senior management role with responsibility for multiple teams or functions.
• Proven experience leading international and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, agile frameworks, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience managing product development lifecycles, roadmaps, releases, and resource planning.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, ideally including EASA requirements and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align diverse interests across functions and organizational levels.
• Excellent risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English; German is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and successfully drive organizational and technological change.
