Job summary

Frequentis Comsoft GmbH sucht in Karlsruhe einen Linux Infrastructure Engineer NIS (m/w/d) zur Betreuung von Linux-Systemen und virtuellen Umgebungen. Sie setzen DNS/DHCP, NGINX und Keycloak auf, entwickeln Automatisierungsskripte in Python und unterstützen Sicherheits- und Monitoring‑Aufgaben.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Development-, System-Engineering-Teams und Kundenprojekten zusammen und bringen mehrjährige Linux-Erfahrung, Teamfähigkeit sowie gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse mit.

Qualifications

• Abschluss in Informatik, IT oder vergleichbar.
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung mit Linux-Systemen (idealerweise RHEL).
• Breites Verständnis von IT-Infrastruktur, Systemadministration und Netzwerken.
• Erfahrung mit Virtualisierung, Networking und gängigen Infrastruktur-Services.
• Grundkenntnisse in Python und Interesse an Automatisierung.
• Kenntnisse in IT-Sicherheit, Vulnerability Management und SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Administration und Konfiguration von Linux-Systemen und virtuellen Maschinen.
• Aufsetzen und Warten von DNS, DHCP, NGINX und Keycloak.
• Entwicklung kleiner Automatisierungslösungen und Skripte in Python.
• Unterstützung des Vulnerability Managements und sicherheitsrelevanter Aktivitäten.
• Wartung und Support von SIEM-Lösungen und Sicherheitsmonitoring.
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Produktentwicklung, Systemingenieuren und Kundenteams.

Aufgaben

• Administer and configure Linux systems and virtual machines

Profil

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience with Linux systems, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure and system administration
• Experience with networking, virtualization, and common infrastructure services
• Basic to good programming skills in Python and an interest in automation
• Knowledge of IT security, vulnerability management, and SIEM solutions
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
• Good communication skills and a confident approach to working with internal and external stakeholders
• Good command of written and spoken English
