Key Tasks

• Develop and implement the technology, product, and innovation strategy in line with the company strategy and Ambition 2030
• Drive the strategic development of the product portfolio based on market needs, competitiveness, and regulatory requirements.
• Own R&D governance, processes, and performance management, including the definition and monitoring of relevant KPIs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., EASA, NIS2, CRA) and manage related certification activities at company and product level
• Lead the company’s technology and security governance, including risk management, Security-by-Design principles, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, EASA, NIS2) and ensure implementation of resulting improvement measures.
• Further develop the platform, infrastructure, and AI strategy to support innovation, scalability, security, and operational excellence
• Promote modern engineering practices and continuously improve development environments and developer experience.
• Take responsibility for research funding activities and support the identification and use of available funding opportunities.
• Ensure a common technology vision through close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Security teams.
• Lead and develop the responsible teams while fostering an innovation-driven, technology-focused, and high-performing culture

Key Qualifications

• Successfully completed university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field; additional qualifications in technology, innovation, or management are an advantage.
• Several years of leadership experience in a key technology role, for example in Engineering, Software Development, Architecture, Product Development, or Research & Development.
• Proven experience in developing complex software and system solutions as well as defining and implementing technology and product strategies.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architectures, distributed systems, platform strategies, and current engineering practices (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD).
• Experience with security, compliance, and certification requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2, CRA, EASA), ideally in safety-critical or regulated environments.
• Strong strategic, technological, and entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation, scalability, and sustainable value creation.
• Authentic leader with strong execution skills, a proactive “can-do” attitude, and the ability to support teams pragmatically and hands-on, even in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a passion for technological innovation, future trends, and emerging technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence.
