A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Governance Officer to provide critical advisory support to senior management. The role includes organizing executive meetings, ensuring documentation accuracy, and strengthening internal governance processes. Candidates should hold a relevant university degree and possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in institutional matters, coupled with excellent Microsoft Office skills and strong drafting capabilities. This position starts with a two-month contract with potential for extension.
You provide critical advisory and organizational support to the organization's governing bodies (CEO, Board, Audit Board) and senior management committees. Your role focuses on Corporate Governance: ensuring high-level meetings run smoothly, decisions are documented accurately, and governance processes are optimized. It requires handling urgent matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
Committee Management: Organize Executive and Senior Management meetings, including agenda preparation, material distribution, and logistics.
Record Keeping: Ensure accurate documentation of meetings through minutes, summaries, and action point logs. You ensure decisions are properly recorded.
Drafting: Assist in drafting briefings for the Board.
Governance Framework: Strengthen internal processes by proposing improvements to policies based on best practices.
Digital Support: Support digital transformation initiatives and manage the team’s portals.
Operational Duties: Monitor shared mailboxes and act as a backup for other officers in the division when needed.
Education: University degree (preferably Master's) in Business, Law, Political Science, or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience dealing with institutional, corporate, or policy matters.
IT Skills: Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and adaptability to digital tools.
Drafting Skills: Strong ability to write, edit, and present information clearly and concisely.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize with precision in a high-pressure environment.
Confidentiality: High level of discretion and professional integrity.
Language: Excellent command of English.
Work Ethic: Flexible, resilient, and capable of working both independently and as a supportive team player.
