Montblanc Simplo GmbH in Hamburg is seeking a General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team. The role focuses on monthly accounting tasks for IFRS and HGB reporting, and daily accounts payable activities within a multinational environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong SAP FI/CO knowledge, and fluency in English and German, enabling effective collaboration across the HQ and MB units.

Qualifikationen

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or higher.
• 5+ years accounting experience, ideally in general ledger monthly activities.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP R/3 FI & CO and MS Office, especially Excel.

Aufgaben

• Prepare month-end closing activities and postings for IFRS and HGB reporting.
• Manage daily accounts payable and general ledger duties for Montblanc Simplo GmbH.
• Coordinate monthly reconciliations with affiliated companies in SAP SEM.
• Act as finance contact for IFRS/group reporting with HQ and MB units.
• Process invoices and support accounts payable daily operations.
• Post payments, monitor open items, and resolve discrepancies.
• Help develop internal control guidelines and drive process digitization.

• by preparing month-end closing activities, documentations and archiving of periodical postings for Montblanc Simplo GmbH such as: IFRS 16, provisions, foreign currency valuations, accounts reconciliations, etc.;
• by managing the accounting tasks for IFRS and HGB reporting for Montblanc Simplo GmbH;
• by being responsible for conducting the monthly account reconciliation with affiliated companies for Montblanc Simplo GmbH, including entries and verification in the reporting (SAP SEM);
• by being the finance contact partner for ad-hoc interaction with the local finance teams of the MB units regarding IFRS and group reporting issues and ad-hoc interaction with various departments at HQ and their requirements;
• by assisting in processing the incoming invoices for Montblanc Simplo GmbH and supporting the accounts payable team in the daily operational business;
• by posting and verifying payment flows including returns, maintaining open items and resolving discrepancies;
• by assisting in the further development of internal guidelines and processes of the Internal Control System;
• by supporting projects for optimization finance accounting processes in digitalization and automatization;

You’ll have…

• completed commercial apprenticeship or higher;
• 5+ years' accounting experience, ideally in general ledger monthly activities;
• fluency in English and German, both written and spoken;
• experience with SAP R/3 FI & CO and good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel);
• knowledge of IFRS and HGB ledger;
• ability to work in a team and with a proactive mindset;
• ability to work independently;
• strong communication and organization skills and the ability to work under pressure;
• confident manner and assertiveness;
• high degree of flexibility in the area of responsibility;
