Fund Manager – Belgian Border, Small Team and Flexibility

We are pleased to support a prestigious PFS in its search for a Fund Manager. Our client has been established for many years and is a member of a network present all around the world, with more than 500 collaborators. Well known for its expertise and know-how, the PFS has a varied clientele, mainly financial companies, which brings interesting transactions day after day.

These transactions require different services, including corporate governance, transfer agency and accounting, but also compliance and depositary services. The challenge we are presenting to you is to manage a team composed of fund accountants as well as transfer agents. This means you will wear multiple hats and oversee fund accounting, transfer agency and the corporate secretarial aspect.

The team in Luxembourg is human-sized, the staff turnover is extremely low and the atmosphere is wonderful (which is probably in part why the turnover is low, and vice versa). The future manager will take pleasure in contributing to the development of the team while ensuring a high quality of work. In addition, the upper management is very open and attentive to the team’s needs, offering strong trust and flexibility, including flexible working hours, homeworking and extra days off.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will manage a portfolio from A to Z composed of AIFs and SPVs in PE/RE.
  • You will manage a team of approximately 10 people, allocate the workload, ensure KPIs, and review the work performed.
  • You will maintain direct contact with clients and investors.
  • Being able to ensure operational tasks when required will be essential.
  • You will participate in meetings, evaluations, and recruitment processes.
Profile and Career Path
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in (fund) accounting in Luxembourg and have a first experience in managing a team. Experience during which you have been exposed to the management of accountants, transfer agents and corporate officers in even better.
  • You are fluent in English; any other language will be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills are essential to be efficient in your work and to manage your team effectively.
  • You are well experienced in Alternative Investment Fund accounting in Luxembourg and are familiar with TA/CoSec matters.
