The employment requirements for professors are determined by §58 (1 and 2) of the State Higher Education Act (LHG M-V).
The appointment is made according to the Berlin Model. In accordance with § 61 LHG M-V, the professorship will be filled by a lifetime civil servant or, if necessary, by a temporary civil servant for a period of 5 years. It is also possible to fill the position as a regular state employee. The position holder will carry out his/her scientific work at the IOW.
Special abilities and achievements in teaching as well as in the organization of science and academic self-administration are taken into account. For this purpose, the results in teaching, the ideas for future teaching including the didactic design of courses are to be presented and the experience in scientific management is to be described. Active engagement and experience in the acquisition of third-party funds are expected.
