Qualifikationen

Our Business Unit Real Assets is looking for a

Financial Controller (w/m/d)

for the Financial Management Controlling Group (FMCG) in Frankfurt am Main.

You already have professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in the real estate sector, and now wish to take on new challenges at one of the leading global asset managers? Then become part of our multi-person FMCG team!

You will supply our clients as well as fund and asset management with fund and asset models, planning, and budgets. Additionally, you will prepare internal and external reports, conduct performance measurements, analyses, and controls (variance analysis), and create reports for risk controlling.

Key Accountabilities

Property Management

  • Ensure accuracy of property accounting and document controls aligned with FMCG requirements
  • Ensure that service providers adhere to the agreed booking logic
  • Utilize YARDI as the standard property management system
Corporate Management
  • Act as single point of contact for legal, accounting, controlling, tax, and finance matters related to assigned entities
  • Review, challenge, and improve existing processes and procedures
  • Support the development and enhancement of company systems
  • Ensure local and corporate compliance documentation requirements
  • Manage corporate matters across European real estate holding companies and fonds investment structures, including distributions, capital calls, company incorporations, shareholder resolutions, amendments of AoA, PoA
Cash Management
  • Manage liquidity, including assisting with AP processes at SPV level and for development projects
  • Coordinate cash funding for service providers
  • Oversee cash transfers between accounts
  • Manage direct debit arrangements with service providers
External Service Providers
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external service providers
  • Monitor deadlines and deliverables
  • Handle onboarding of new investment structures and service providers
  • Oversee VAT, CIT, WHT compliance in Germany and internationally
  • Review ongoing tax matters with tax advisors and propose solutions
  • Support audit processes throughout the year
Budget and Forecast
  • Prepare asset-level forecasts and variance analyses using available IT tools
  • Coordinate asset planning and contribute to fund and investor consolidated planning
  • Provide commentary on portfolio results
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex investing structures
Project Work
  • Participate in transversal projects
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
  • Reinforce sound and effective risk management in line with the Risk and Compliance Objectives & Measures Framework


Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration (Finance or Real Estate)
  • Experience in Accounting, tax items as VAT/CIT/WHT compliance matters, qualification ideally within an operational/financial reporting role (HGB, IFRS, German Tax GAAP, LUX GAAP), with exposure to/understanding of Real Estate
  • Experience in audit and financial control
  • Experience in Real Estate, Asset Management and/or Project Management is desirable
  • Confident use of IT (especially advanced Ex-cel),
  • Excellent communication skills (team spirit / flexibility), reliability
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English & German
