Finance Director

Omnicom Precision Marketing Germany – A leading digital and precision marketing agency with around 700 employees, headquartered in Hamburg.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Finance Director to join our team in Hamburg. This key leadership role oversees a finance team of 3–4 people, manages five account groups and a diverse client portfolio, and partners with client leads, senior management, and global finance teams to ensure financial excellence and profitability.

Your Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management – Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of 3–4 professionals, ensuring high standards of accuracy, collaboration and accountability.
  • Commercial & Client Focus – Act as a trusted financial partner to client leads and business teams, supporting strategic decisions and project profitability.
  • Financial Management & Reporting – Oversee monthly and year‑end closing processes, forecasting and annual budgeting.
  • Performance & Profitability – Monitor performance against forecasts and identify risks and opportunities to improve margins.
  • Processes & Compliance – Implement and continuously improve financial processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Omnicom Global policies and German regulations.
  • Business Partnering & Strategy – Provide commercial leadership in client pitches and new business opportunities, and partner with the President and Regional CFO on financial strategy.
Your Experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in an agency, consultancy or project-based business.
  • Proven success managing finances for multi-client portfolios and large-scale projects.
  • Strong experience with German financial regulations and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop small teams.
  • Commercial mindset with confidence in engaging clients and stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience with forecasting, budgeting and reporting in fast‑paced environments.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg.
