Zusammenfassung

SOFAR is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support our after-sales service activities for solar inverters and energy storage systems in Germany.

The role focuses on on-site troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance and technical support for customers and installation partners.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training as Elektroniker, Elektriker, Mechatroniker or comparable electrical qualification.
• Fluent German and good English for technical communication and documentation.
• Experience with electrical systems, PV, battery storage, UPS, EV charging or similar fields.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany.
• Valid Class B driving licence.
• Hands-on, independent and solution-oriented working style.

Aufgaben

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of solar inverters and energy storage systems
• Support commissioning and start-up of PV and battery storage systems
• Diagnose electrical and technical faults and provide practical solutions
• Replace faulty components, inverters and related electrical equipment when required
• Provide technical support to installers, customers and service partners
• Carry out basic electrical measurements and system checks
• Document service activities and technical issues after site visits
• Support product upgrades, replacements and corrective actions
• Provide basic technical training to installers and service partners when needed
• Travel within Germany for customer and project site support

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of solar inverters and energy storage systems
• Support commissioning and start-up of PV and battery storage systems
• Diagnose electrical and technical faults and provide practical solutions
• Replace faulty components, inverters and related electrical equipment when required
• Provide technical support to installers, customers and service partners
• Carry out basic electrical measurements and system checks
• Document service activities and technical issues after site visits
• Support product upgrades, replacements and corrective actions
• Provide basic technical training to installers and service partners when needed
• Travel within Germany for customer and project site support

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an Elektroniker, Elektriker, Mechatroniker or comparable electrical qualification
• Qualified to perform electrical work / Elektrofachkraft (EFK) or equivalent
• Practical experience with electrical systems, preferably in photovoltaic, battery storage, UPS, EV charging or similar fields
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, installation or commissioning
• Good understanding of electrical circuits and ability to use electrical measuring equipment
• Hands-on, independent and solution-oriented working style
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
• Valid Class B driving licence
• Fluent German
• Basic to good English skills for technical communication and documentation

Experience with solar inverters or battery energy storage systems is an advantage, but not mandatory.
