Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search seeks an experienced PV service technician in Berlin to maintain and repair utility‑scale Solar PV assets across rooftops and farms. You will diagnose faults, perform inverter repairs and ensure safety compliance.

Ideal candidates are qualified electricians or electronics technicians with solar PV experience, fluent German, a driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across Europe. join a growing renewable portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician, Electronics Technician or Electrical Service Technician with strong electrical background.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and repairs, ideally within Solar PV.
• Knowledge of inverters, electrical components and fault diagnosis; networking and communication systems would be beneficial.
• Very good German language skills, basic IT proficiency and a valid Category B driving licence.
• Independent, reliable and organised, with a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs across operational Solar PV installations, from rooftop systems to utility‑scale solar farms.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including inverter repairs, component replacements and commissioning.
• Conduct electrical inspections, measurements and testing in accordance with VDE standards.
• Inspect and replace damaged solar modules, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Independently manage site visits, maintenance schedules, materials and service documentation, working closely with internal teams and manufacturers.

The Company:

An established German Independent Power Producer (IPP) specialising in utility‑scale Solar PV, with an operational portfolio of over 700 MW across Europe.

The company owns, operates and manages its solar assets in‑house, with continued investment in portfolio expansion, repowering and battery storage (BESS).They are now looking for a PV Service Technician to support the maintenance, performance and reliability of their growing solar portfolio.

The Role:

• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs across operational Solar PV installations, from rooftop systems to utility‑scale solar farms.
