Qualifikationen

• Experience with cleaning, pest control, security, laundry, access control or waste logistics.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple suppliers and priorities.
• Fluent in German and English.

Aufgaben

• Own day-to-day facilities operations and non-GMP building services across the site.
• Act as the primary interface with the landlord and property management team for repairs and service coordination.
• Coordinate maintenance of HVAC, lighting, building fabric and shared offices.
• Manage external contracts for cleaning, pest control, security, laundry and waste logistics.
• Oversee contractor performance, service levels, costs and issue resolution.
• Manage physical security and site access with internal and external partners.

We are supporting a growing biopharmaceutical organisation. The business is looking for a Facilities Operations Lead to take ownership of non-GMP building infrastructure, workplace services, landlord coordination, physical security and day-to-day site logistics.

This role will ensure the site remains safe, functional, well-maintained and operationally ready, while coordinating external service providers and supporting the wider technical and manufacturing organisation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day facilities operations and non-GMP building services across the site.
• Act as the primary interface with the landlord and property management team for building repairs, infrastructure issues and service coordination.
• Coordinate maintenance of administrative HVAC, lighting, building fabric, offices and shared areas.
• Manage external contracts for cleaning, pest control, gowning laundry, security, access control and other soft services.
• Oversee contractor performance, service levels, costs and issue resolution.
• Manage physical security and site access in coordination with internal stakeholders and external providers.
• Coordinate routine waste segregation, staging, storage and collection logistics across site operations.
• Support facility inspections, workplace safety activities and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain facilities SOPs, service schedules, escalation processes and vendor records.
• Support site moves, workplace changes, office readiness and operational improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Utilities, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Manufacturing and external service partners.
• Monitor facility performance and drive improvements in service quality, cost, safety and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in facilities management, site services or workplace operations within industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, technology or comparable environments.
• Strong experience managing contractors, service providers and landlord relationships.
• Good understanding of building services, workplace infrastructure and facilities operations.
• Experience managing services such as cleaning, pest control, security, laundry, access control or waste logistics.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and operational priorities.
• Commercial awareness including contract management, service-level monitoring and cost control.
• Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and escalation management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across technical and operational teams.
• German and English language skills required.
