Overview
From November 2025; 16 to 20 hours per week long-term. We are looking for a working student to support us in our Distribution & Transportation (D&T) Sustainability Strategy. If you are enthusiastic about sustainability and want to gain a glimpse behind the scenes of a global company\'s logistics activities, join us. This is a fully integrated role as a member of the team while you are still a student.
Location: Garching near Munich, hybrid.
What you will be doing
- Contribute to develop sustainable framework and strategy for Distribution and Transportation.
- Contribute to the calculation of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, and gathering energy consumption and waste data for warehousing and transportation activities.
- Contribute to improve internal systems in providing Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics and reporting, such as utility and packaging data.
- Support the preparation and rollout of sustainability initiatives, trainings, and information sessions for logistics teams.
- Support measures on current environmental policies, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and proactive adaptation.
- Conduct, present and draw conclusions from market research on ESG topics for logistics.
Responsibilities and activities (initial examples)
- From November 2025; 16 to 20 hours per week long-term (as noted above).
- Maintain effective relationships with clients and proactively support their complex needs; engage in effective personal communication with customers and colleagues.
- Engage in cross-team collaboration and system-level improvement; champion agile principles beyond your team.
- Participate in ticket review meetings and provide 3rd level customer support; pre-analyze, prioritize, and process support tickets efficiently.
What you need to succeed
- You are currently enrolled as a master student at a university or a university of applied sciences.
- Fields of study: engineering, business administration, logistics/supply chain, data analytics, CSR/sustainability management, or related fields (preferred).
- Comfortable working with data and numbers; affinity for sustainability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Team player with strong cooperation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
