This role requires a profound understanding of product safety law and regulatory requirements, including collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure compliance in Germany and the EU. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both German and English, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Jobbeschreibung

Your tasks

• Take on central legal responsibility in the development and approval of our fully autonomous L4 vehicle, with a focus on product safety, compliance, and liability regarding automated driving functions
• Collaborate closely with Homologation Engineering, Autonomous Driving, Regulatory Affairs, IT Security, and Vehicle Development to ensure regulatory compliance in Germany and the EU
• Support homologation and engineering teams in ensuring legal conformity of vehicle features
• Review technical documentation and certifications for legal accuracy and contribute actively to product safety
• Monitor legislative initiatives and regulatory developments related to automated driving (e.g., StVG §1d ff., EU ADS Regulation, UNECE regulations, product safety directives)
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and expert committees on compliance-related matters

Your profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Zweites Staatsexamen)
• Profound knowledge of product safety law and regulatory requirements, ideally with experience in the automotive sector
• Experience working with technical departments and the ability to understand technical and engineering contexts
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
