Director Finance Pharma Delivery (M/F/D)

Position Summary

Catalent’s Schorndorf location is the flagship EU manufacturing site for complex controlled‑release oral solid dose forms. The facility integrates fluid bed granulation, roller compaction, hot melt extrusion, development, commercial manufacture, and packaging.

The Director Finance is responsible for accurate, timely financial reporting and will serve as a financial partner on the site management team.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis (10%) – Ensure all monthly reports are accurate and timely; provide analysis to VP Finance and local management.
  • Financial Forecasting (10%) – Lead monthly forecast reviews, submit reports to Corporate Finance, and explain results and drivers with the Business Unit.
  • Business Participation (20%) – Provide financial input to site meetings, partner with the GM on capital improvements, staff planning, and operational decisions.
  • Internal Control / Audit (10%) – Ensure compliance with Catalent financial policies and GAAP.
  • Capital Appropriations Request (CAR) Process (5%) – Load CARs accurately into the Capex system for senior management review.
  • Annual Budget (10%) – Coordinate the annual budget process, set timetables, and align budget with corporate expectations.
  • Strategic Planning (5%) – Lead the five‑year strategic planning process, analyze initiatives, and track progress.
  • Local Statutory Reporting (10%) – Handle local tax filings, corporate governance, and year‑end preparation.
  • Statutory Accounts & Audit – Coordinate year‑end audit and liaison with auditors.
  • Cash Management (5%) – Manage daily cash flow, debt forecasting, loan administration, interest payments, and foreign currency exposure.
  • Staff Development (15%) – Develop associates, set performance standards, and implement development plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in accounting or business (or equivalent).
  • 10 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3–5 years of finance leadership in a medium‑to‑large organization; pharmaceutical experience desired.
  • Lean implementation experience desired.
  • Professional designations (CPA, CMA) or MBA required.
  • Strong operations background with precise pricing/costing controls.
  • Fluency in German and English.
