An innovative climate-focused organization in Hamburg seeks a Data Analyst to support economic and development analytics. The successful candidate will analyze data related to trade and logistics while developing dashboards and maintaining data integrity. Ideal applicants will have a Master’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in data analytics. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic international team committed to climate action and sustainability.
As Data Analyst of the Kuehne Climate Center (KCC), you will support the Knowledge Hub’s economic and development analytics, bridging business intelligence and sustainability data. The position covers the full analytical workflow — data gathering, cleaning, structuring, analysis, visualization, and the creation of actionable insights. It has a stronger economic and financial focus and is expected to support the broader analytical needs of all KCC Program Lines. In this role, the Data Analyst will work closely with the full Knowledge Hub Team, including the Senior Data Analyst and the Researcher, collaborating across all analytical areas.
The Data Analyst reports to the Head of Knowledge & Analytics and works closely with the Senior Data Analyst, the Researcher, the Communications Department, and the Management & Operations Team to deliver data‑driven insights and dashboards supporting KCC’s programs and strategic initiatives.
The Kuehne Climate Center (KCC) is a subsidiary of the Kuehne Foundation in Schindellegi, Switzerland. Established in 1976 by the Kuehne family and is one of the largest foundations in the German‑speaking world. As an operational foundation it is involved in the areas of logistics, medicine, culture and, since the beginning of 2023, climate action. The Foundation is independent, operational and international.
The KCC implements the Foundation’s climate action mandate. Its mission is to accelerate climate‑compatible development within and through logistics systems. KCC works through applied research and thought leadership, project and advisory work, and training and capacity building, with a particular focus on countries of the Global South.
KCC is a globally operating think‑and‑do tank headquartered in Hamburg’s vibrant Hafencity. From here, we manage and support all our global projects, actively partnering with our regional teams and with institutions from around the world. As a young and fast‑growing organization, KCC offers the opportunity to help shape an ambitious institution from its early stages.
