Team Description

You’ll join the Get Paid Business line, the team driving the success of SumUp’s Get Paid portfolio, our card readers and payment acceptance solutions used by millions of merchants across Europe and the rest of the world.


This team is focused on building the products that power SumUp’s Get Paid ecosystem — from backend and hardware development to platform and feature delivery — while also accelerating growth, simplifying the customer journey, and building clear, conversion-driven narratives . It brings together the cross‑functional product teams building our Get Paid products, as well as a dedicated Growth team led by the VP Growth and supported by two Content Managers, one of whom we are hiring for this role. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, marketers, and channel leads to ensure every piece of content — from web pages to go-to‑market campaigns — delivers clarity, quality, and merchant impact.


This position is also part of the Content Chapter embedded within the Central Marketing team. The Content Chapter brings together all content managers across channels and business lines, creating a unified community of practice. It serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, alignment on best practices, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of SumUp’s content standards.


This role begins with a two‑year fixed‑term contract, with potential for extension based on future business needs.

What You’ll Do


  • Support and contribute to end‑to‑end content strategy and execution for SumUp’s Get Paid (card reader) products — from product launches to ongoing lifecycle communications

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of messaging frameworks and narrative guidelines , ensuring consistent, high‑quality, and conversion‑focused content across all channels

  • Drive go‑to‑market content development for new product launches — including web pages, PDPs, landing pages, packaging copy, and enablement materials in collaboration with Product and Marketing teams

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Design, and Localisation to align content with business goals and merchant needs

  • Manage content operations , including briefing, documentation, and workflow visibility in tools like Jira and Notion

  • Use CMS tools to build, update, and QA web content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and strong SEO performance

  • Support localization efforts by providing structured source content, clear messaging guidance, and product‑specific USPs to ensure consistency across markets


You’ll Be Great for This Role If


  • You have 3–6 years of experience in content strategy, content management, or product marketing, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or e‑commerce

  • You’re an excellent writer who can translate technical product features into clear, benefit‑led messages for diverse audiences

  • You have hands‑on experience with CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful, Builder.io) and are confident managing web publishing workflows

  • You’re structured, data‑informed, and comfortable owning complex content ecosystems end to end

  • You bring strong stakeholder management , operational discipline, and a proactive mindset

  • You have native‑level English fluency and a passion for clear, customer‑first communication
