Job Description

As Consultancy Project Manager, you support the Commercial Printing business for Continuous Feed (CF) and Sheetfed Presses (SP) within the Developing Regions Business Group. Based in Poing, you work closely with Regional Sales Organizations (RSOs) in the Middle East, Turkey, South Africa, Central Eastern Europe and Central Northern Africa, as well as with partners and distributors in several regions.

In this role, you combine technical expertise, structured project management and customer‑oriented consultancy. You support sales projects early phase through implementation and acceptance, ensuring solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned with customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support Area Managers during the offer phase by defining technical solutions, e.g. selecting press configurations, options and workflows for customer proposals
  • Develop technical concepts and system layouts, including configuration of Continuous Feed and Sheetfed presses
  • Work with Regional Sales Organizations and distributors to manage customer projects, from initial concept through implementation and acceptance
  • Provide consultancy on applications and production processes, e.g. advising customers on optimal setups for specific print jobs
  • Support print tests and cost, including preparation, execution and evaluation of results
  • Contribute to service‑related activities, such as coordinating training, supporting installations, handling escalations and preparing documentation
  • Support after‑sales and service processes, including warranty topics, remote service and technical follow‑up
  • Participate in product demonstrations and customer presentations, providing technical explanations and support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or University degree in a technical discipline or relevant education (e.g. Technician; “Ausbildung Techniker / Eletroniker”)
  • Solid knowledge of commercial printing technologies
  • Experience in a large, international organisation, preferably in technical sales, consultancy or business development
  • Structured, analytical working style and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Fluent English and good understanding of German language
  • Willingness to travel internationally
