Responsibilities:
  • Framework: Design, enhance, and maintain a group-wide Compliance Management System (CMS), including mandatory policies aligned with FCO guidelines while enabling local adaptations.
  • Governance: Strengthen decentralized compliance governance by enhancing Compliance Committees, implementing a matrix reporting structure, and ensuring transparency and accountability across units.
  • Investigations: Lead and support compliance investigations in close alignment with the Head of Compliance and the FCO Head of Corporate Audit.
  • Risk: Conduct annual compliance risk assessments across all business units, develop risk heat maps, and prioritize mitigation measures for high-risk areas.
  • Training: Roll out global compliance training programs with localized regulatory content, leveraging e-learning platforms for consistency, tracking, and effectiveness.
  • Monitoring: Implement centralized monitoring tools and coordinate periodic assurance audits for decentralized units, with a focus on high-risk processes.
  • Reporting: Define and maintain standardized reporting and escalation frameworks to ensure consistent, transparent communication across the organization.
  • Enablement: Drive the development and deployment of compliance technology solutions and support cross-functional compliance initiatives, including M&A-related projects.
Qualifications:
  • Education: University degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on Compliance, Risk, or Governance.
  • Experience: Extensive professional experience in compliance, governance, or risk management within an international or matrix organization.
  • Expertise: Proven hands‑on experience with compliance frameworks, risk assessments, investigations, and internal controls.
  • Regulatory: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and recognized compliance best practices in a global business environment.
  • Mindset: Strategic yet pragmatic professional with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach and strong execution capability.
  • Stakeholders: Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions and seniority levels.
  • Communication: Clear, structured communicator with the confidence to address sensitive topics and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Languages: Fluent German and English required.
