Role Description

We are seeking a Code Quality Lead to serve as a counterpart to our US team and help manage our contributor community during overseas time zones (especially IST). This role blends technical expertise with community engagement: you’ll review code submissions for quality, debug issues, and motivate contributors to stay active and productive. This is a high-ownership contractor position, structured like a full-time role. You’ll be embedded in our workflows, ensuring contributors have the support they need while upholding Datacurve’s standards for reliable, high-quality coding data.

What we're looking for?

We need someone with strong coding skills, ideally with Python, and experience reviewing or debugging code in real-world settings. You should be comfortable engaging with a global contributor base, providing feedback, and resolving technical issues. Bonus points if you have GitHub activity, open-source contributions, or prior industry experience at companies like Goldman Sachs or Walmart Global Tech.

What you'll do:

• Code Review & Quality Control: Review contributor submissions to ensure they meet Datacurve’s technical standards, provide feedback and guidance on best practices, and debug and resolve small technical issues that block contributors.
• Community Management: Engage with contributors on Discord/Slack, respond quickly to questions, and motivate and guide contributors to increase activity and contribution levels.
• Operational Support: Act as the primary point of contact during IST hours, work closely with the US team to maintain seamless project coverage, and support multiple projects over time, starting with one high-priority project.
