BYD Europe is seeking a Distribution Specialist to lead distributor channel management and installer network development across Germany and the Netherlands. You will evaluate and onboard partners, conduct regular visits, and enforce channel policies to optimize market access and sales performance.

The role requires 5+ years in overseas channel management within energy storage or related industries, with strong English and German skills; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Experience: 5+ years overseas channel management in energy storage, solar PV, or related industries; German/Dutch market experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• End-to-End Distributor Channel Management across onboarding, evaluation, selection and exit.
• Enforce distributor onboarding criteria with on-site evaluations before partner integration.
• Conduct regular distributor visits to assess business models and sales strategies.
• Respond to and resolve distributor issues in sales and marketing activities.
• Audit distributor inventory levels and turnover to ensure accountability.
• Communicate and enforce channel policies including rebates, inventory protection and onboarding/exit rules.
• Execute distributor termination per established criteria for smooth transitions.
• Develop Installer Network through regular visits and maintain a robust installer database.
• Collaborate with domestic teams and provide progress reports, market insights and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

In-depth Market and Competitor Analysis

Conduct comprehensive research on key competitors (e.g., Huawei, Sungrow, Sigenergy), including their channel models, operational strategies, channel policies (rebates, support), and pricing systems. Produce regular analysis reports to provide data-driven support for strategic decision-making.

Cross-Industry Channel Model Research and Innovation

Research and analyze channel models from analogous industries (e.g., Solar PV, Heat Pumps, Smart Home) to identify best practices and optimization opportunities. Identify innovation points and enhancement strategies for our existing channel system through cross-industry benchmarking to boost overall channel competitiveness.

End-to-End Distributor Channel Management

• Enforce distributor onboarding criteria by conducting comprehensive on-site evaluations prior to new partner integration.

• Conduct regular distributor visits to gain in-depth insights into their business model, sales strategies, and customer management approaches.

• Promptly respond to and assist in resolving distributor issues related to sales and marketing activities.

• Perform regular audits of distributor inventory levels and turnover rates.

• Ensure thorough communication and understanding of all channel policies (including rebate programs, inventory protection, onboarding and exit rules).

• Execute the distributor termination process in accordance with established criteria, ensuring a seamless transition upon partnership dissolution.

Installer Network Development

Conduct weekly/monthly installer visits to develop detailed installer profiles and build/maintain a comprehensive installer database. Gather field feedback to provide robust data support for formulating installer support policies.

Cross-Regional Collaboration and Reporting

Collaborate closely with the domestic team, fulfill research requests, and regularly report on progress, market insights, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher

• Language Skills: Fluent in English; Proficient in German; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage.

• 5+ years of overseas channel management experience in the energy storage, solar PV, or related industries. Experience in the German/Dutch market is preferred.
