Job summary

BYD Automotive GmbH in Germany is searching for a senior sales professional to drive the BESS business with utilities, industrial clients, and renewable energy developers. You will own the full sales cycle from lead qualification to proposal design and deal closure, collaborating with our Technical Solution team to ensure smooth OTA/TAS processes.

• Extensive experience in renewable energy sales, support, or project management with BESS/EMS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the BESS business with utilities, industrial clients, and renewable energy developers.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design, proposal preparation, and deal closure.
• Work together with Technical Solution team to complete OTA and TAS process of all BYD Energy Storage products，and to make BYD Energy Storage new product is ready to be used by all the other customers.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design, proposal preparation, and deal closure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, including utility companies, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure BESS installations meet local and international grid compliance standards.Collaborate with regulatory bodies and transmission operators for seamless BESS integration into the power grid.Stay informed on changes in grid codes, transmission line requirements, and energy storage regulations.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• Extensive professional experience renewable energy technical support, sales, or project management, with a focus on BESS, PCS, or EMS.
• Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of energy storage systems and grid compliance requirements (IEC, IEEE standards).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and grid codes for integrating energy storage systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel for client meetings and on-site project inspections
• Industry sectors: entertainment service, energy technology, electrical and electronic manufacturing
• Proficient in IEEE standards, EMS, technical solution design and team leadership
• Language: fluent in German, English.
