StartSteps helps people in Germany upskill for tech roles and land jobs through industry-aligned training and employer partnerships.

The Career Success Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, alumni and community partners. The ultimate goal for this role is to find job opportunities for our bootcamp graduates. This role also ensures that graduates are well-prepared and maintain competitive profiles that are attractive in the job market. This role also supports the administration of the TalentStart platform to help directly connect graduates with employers.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative and strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. They are willing to design and take ownership of projects from start to finish, making sure they are a success.

Tasks

Community Building & Employer Partnerships:

  • Foster a mutually beneficial community at the intersection of tech hiring and early careers talent by identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with employers.
  • Design, organize and host community events such as job fairs, networking sessions and thought leadership events.
  • Promote and facilitate employer partnerships with StartSteps for collaboration and business development.

Graduate & Alumni Support:

  • Provide individualized career coaching, including resume reviews, interview preparation and job search strategies.
  • Design and organize events for graduates focusing on career readiness and personal branding.
  • Foster and support alumni ambassadors.

Data and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of graduate placement data and provide regular reports on outcomes.
  • Use data to identify trends and identify areas for program improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human resources, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in career services, recruitment, community building or a related area.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. German language is a strong plus.
  • Track record of strong networking and relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with tech talent acquisition best practices and hiring trends.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and project management skills.
  • Ability to learn new technical tools and platforms.
